Introducing the 2024 BMW X3: The Ultimate Driving Machine Evolves

2024 BMW X3: The present BMW X3 is approximately due for a new generation at five years old. And following its recent spy shot debut, our spies were once more able to catch this new X3 practicing on the streets of Munich.

Even though the car’s body is still extensively camouflaged, we can still make out certain elements, particularly at the front. With higher, linked kidney grilles and more angular headlights, the overall appearance resembles the previously unveiled X1. Additionally, the wheel arches have become boxier, and it wouldn’t surprise us if this new model embraced the more angular body lines of several recent BMWs.

BMW X3 Information

The fourth-generation BMW X3 has been sighted testing once more, this time on the renowned Nurburgring track. Despite the remaining camouflage, we can still make out important design cues on BMW’s mid-size SUV. Although there will also be all-electric versions, we anticipate this to be the last X3 to be powered by an internal combustion engine.

This test car’s front end features a bigger kidney grille and an air inlet, like we’ve seen before. The newer X1 appears to be more in line with the smaller headlight design, which appears to forego the split form of the new BMW 7 Series and X7.The BMW badge, which is ridged in the bonnet and shared by the M3, i4, and XM, was also visible.

2024 BMW X3 Overview

The wheel arch design of the current BMW X3 and the upswept window line to the rear pillar, which create the company’s renowned “Hofmeister kink,” appear to be carried over. We anticipate that the rear lights, which are heavily camouflaged in our spy photos, will be two independent pieces rather than a single light bar. The bigger alloy wheels are also visible in these most recent spy pictures. There are currently no distinguishing elements on the lower bumper, but the roof spoiler at the back appears to have gotten bigger.

The next-generation X3 received a redesign in June 2021, thus it’s unlikely that it will be unveiled until the end of 2023, with a 2024 release date. The timing of this arrival is tricky for BMW because the X3 would barely miss the introduction of the “Neue Klasse” platform, which is slated to debut in 2025.

2024 BMW X3 Next

It implies that the entirely electric iX3 (based on the current X3) will continue to be produced well into the life of the future X3. The redesigned CLAR platform from BMW, which is compatible with mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure-EV powertrains, will likely serve as the foundation for the next X3.

The majority of the range is anticipated to be made up of a combination of four-cylinder gasoline engines and six-cylinder gasoline engines with electric assistance. The present BMW X3 M has the same 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six engine as the M3, but given that the new BMW XM is the first M vehicle to use hybrid technology, don’t be shocked if the X3 M does as well.

Although we haven’t yet seen inside the new X3, the infotainment system will undoubtedly be based on the company’s OS 8 operating system. It should be viewed on a curved display that combines a 12.3-inch infotainment screen that was initially introduced in the iX and is now on the face-lifted 3 Series with a 14.9-inch digital instrument cluster.

2024 BMW X3 Price

When the new BMW X3 goes on sale in the UK in 2024, it’s anticipated to edge closer to a £50k entry price tag, once again competing with premium rivals like the Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLC, with the present BMW X3 starting at £45,585.
