Nissan Pathfinder 2024 Engine, Fuel Efficiency and Transmission

New Nissan Pathfinder 2024 Engine, Transmission, Fuel Efficiency and Specification! Nissan is one of the top car manufacturer brand from Japan. The new 2024 Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with a roomy cabin that can accommodate up to eight people and is ready to report for family transport duty. Even long road trips and regular commutes will benefit from its peaceful interior and comfortable ride. Front-wheel drive is standard with a V-6 engine connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission; all-wheel driving is optional and provides the Pathfinder something of prowess, though it can’t compete on the trail with a Jeep or a Bronco. The Pathfinder is also able to tow. Its towing capacity of 6000 pounds surpasses those of competitors including the Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, and Toyota Highlander.

Nissan Pathfinder 295 Horsepower

For 2024, Nissan is expanding its Pathfinder offering with the tough Rock Creek variant. It features an 18-inch all-terrain tire on a set of distinctive wheels, a slightly raised suspension, a new front grille, and bottom bumper, and optional all-wheel drive. In the Rock Creek model, the V-6’s output is increased to 295 horsepower. The interior of the Rock Creek differs from that of the standard Pathfinder thanks to unique cloth and vinyl furniture, orange embroidery, and Rock Creek insignia on the center console and seats. Although Nissan has added desirable driver-assistance features to the S and SV trims of the Pathfinder, we advise opting for the more costly SL trim if it fits within your budget. The larger 9.0-inch touchscreen system, a 360-degree video system, and wirelessly Apple CarPlay compatibility are included as upgrades from the SV.

The Pathfinder becomes downright opulent with the $2900 SL Premium package, which also adds 20-inch wheels, a panorama sunroof, a Bose radio, heated rear seats, and cordless smartphone charging. All the components required to enable the Pathfinder’s 6000-pound load capacity are also included in that package.

Nissan Pathfinder Performance – Engine, Transmission

The variable frequency automatic transmission (CVT) from the previous generation model is dropped in favor of a new nine-speed automatic, while the Pathfinder keeps the 3.5-liter V-6 from that model. The V-6 typically produces 284 horsepower, but the Rock Creek trim raises that to 295. Although all trims can be configured with all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive is the default. Seven new drive modes, including the off-road-oriented Sand and Mud/Rut model, are also added with the all-wheel-drive system upgrade. Our Pathfinder SL test vehicle with front-wheel drive reached 60 mph at our test track in 6.7 seconds while the all-wheel drive version did it in 6.6 seconds. These findings indicate that the all-wheel-drive Pathfinder outperforms the Kia Telluride, and the Toyota Highlander in terms of speed.

The Pathfinder’s ride is relatively smooth, and Nissan paid attention to sound-deadening features, making the cabin particularly quiet when traveling. However, handling is forgettable and not in the slightest entertaining.

Nissan Pathfinder Fuel efficiency and actual MPG

The EPA claims that the Pathfinder with optional all-wheel drive is actually the most economical, with scores of 21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined. The front-wheel-drive model received the same ratings for the city and combined, but only 26 mpg highway. Our all-wheel-drive test vehicle outperformed its EPA rating and earned 28 mpg on the interstate at 75 mph.

Nissan Pathfinder Cargo, Comfort, and the Interior

The interior of the Pathfinder is contemporary and truck-like, with supportive front seats and conveniently located controls. Up to eight passengers can fit in the three rows of seating, but customers can opt to replace the conventional second-row bench seat with captain’s chairs, which reduces the capacity to seven. Nissan features built-in storage bins all over the cabin, such as a sizable one beneath the center console that is reachable by the driver or passenger in the front seat. Luxuries like semi-aniline leatherette, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a panoramic sunroof, are appropriately included in higher equipment levels.

Nissan Pathfinder 2024 Connectivity and Information

The SL and Platinum variants come standard with a larger 9.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, which runs the most recent version of the Nissan Connect user interface. Both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included as standard features, and the former can be wirelessly synchronized on higher variants. Optional options include an in-dash navigation system, a head-up display, a wireless cellphone charging pad, an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, a 12.3-inch electronic gauge display, a SiriusXM satellite radio, and a head-up display. Although a 13-speaker Bose system is available, a rather modest six-speaker stereo is standard.
