2024 Maserati Grecale Features and Specification
2024 Maserati Grecale: The Grecale will be the second SUV to hit Maserati showrooms in 2024 as part of the Italian automaker’s aim to broaden its lineup. The company’s new tiny luxury crossover comes after the brand-new mid-size Levante. The Grecale shares a prominent Maserati grille with the upcoming MC20 supercar, while the rest of its bulbous shape is typical of its class, which includes rivals like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, BMW X3, and Porsche Macan.
The 2024 Grecale comes equipped with an all-wheel-drive system and a 296-hp turbo-four. With a 523-hp twin-turbo V-6 engine, the top-of-the-line Trofeo also provides maximum performance. A similar engine is also available in a 325-hp version. An electric Maserati Grecale Folgore will be a part of the range the following year (evaluated separately).
2024 Maserati Grecale Price
The Grecale will start at slightly under $65,000, according to Maserati. As a result, it is one of the priciest compact luxury crossovers in its class. The base four-cylinder engine’s entire 325 horsepower is unlocked by the Modena trim, which is in the middle of the lineup. Although the Trofeo model’s price is not yet known, it is predicted that it will be much more expensive than the standard model.
Maserati Grecale Engine, Transmission and Performance
The Grecale has a good range of drivetrains. Each engine is combined with an eight-speed automated transmission and all-wheel drive. The Modena trim level also offers a high-output version of that engine with 325 horsepower in addition to the base engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 296 horsepower. During our initial test drive, the high-output four-cylinder engine experienced some turbo lag, but overall, we were impressed with the powertrain’s quick acceleration and adequate power.
The ride is forgiving in the Grecale’s sportier drive modes, and when the Comfort option is chosen, it almost seems soft. Although the Grecale’s handling is rather neutral and its agility is easy to exploit, the Porsche Macan nevertheless provides a more pleasurable driving experience. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6 engine of the Trofeo, a detuned variant of the MC20’s engine, is the apex of the lineup’s performance. It produces 457 pound-feet of torque and 523 horsepower in the Grecale Trofeo. Maserati claims that will enable it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 177 mph. Air suspension and adaptive dampers, which are options on the four-cylinder vehicles, are also standard on the Trofeo.
Interior Luxury
Step inside the 2024 Grecale, and you’ll find a sumptuous interior that seamlessly marries opulence with functionality. Premium materials, such as fine leather, carbon fiber, and brushed aluminum, adorn the cabin, creating an ambiance of refined luxury. The attention to detail is evident in every stitch, and the ergonomically designed cockpit puts the driver at the center of a sophisticated driving experience.
Fuel efficiency and actual MPG
According to the EPA’s fuel efficiency estimations for the Greca, the vehicles with the turbo four are the most economical, with ratings of 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. With its turbo six, the sporty Trofeo variant is capable of 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg in the city. When we have an opportunity, we’ll evaluate the Grecale’s fuel efficiency on our 75 mph highway test route and report back here. Connectivity and Information
A 12.3-inch touchscreen controls much of the Grecale’s Google-based infotainment system, but a smaller 8.8-inch touchscreen on the bottom manages additional functions. Every model includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a Wi-Fi hotspot is available for a monthly fee. Grecale’s infotainment system is compatible with voice-activated programs like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Another option for the SUV’s music system is a 21-speaker, 1285-watt Sonus Faber stereo.
