New 2024 BMW i8 M Model and Price Range
New 2024 BMW i8 M: Model, Price Range, Review, Full Specs, Release Date and Pricing! BMW appears to still be interested in expensive hybrid sports vehicles even though the present i8 hasn’t performed up to the sporting expectations BMW had for it. The next-generation i8 is already in development, and BMW’s Vision M Next concept from mid-2019 is evidence of that. We like to call it the BMW i8 M because it should offer a major performance upgrade over the current model. The i8 M is anticipated to differ significantly from the model it will ultimately replace with respect to power, all-electric driving range, improved styling, and a capable chassis.
The i8 M, or whatever name BMW chooses for its upcoming hybrid sports car, will be completely new for the 2024 model year. As we come closer to the car’s release date, which is anticipated to be somewhere in 2023 as a 2024 model, we anticipate learning more.
BMW i8 M Range
The current i8’s 18-mile electric driving range is, to put it mildly, disappointing. BMW has been tight-lipped on specifics like battery size, but the Vision M Next concept car’s electric driving range was stated to be 62 miles. That indicates that either BMW’s engineers have discovered a way to eke out significantly more mileage from the 11.6-kWh battery pack present in the current model, or they have discovered room for a significantly larger unit. The latter is likely the case. Closer to the time the i8 M goes on sale, further details will be revealed on the battery, range, and charging capacity of the vehicle.
BMW i8 M Interior
We are hoping BMW solves the i8’s challenging entry and exit by giving the new vehicle front-hinged doors and a lower side sill to make the interior more accessible. Little is known about the i8 M’s interior as of yet. The i8 M will serve as BMW’s design laboratory for the future and, like the current vehicle, is expected to incorporate distinctive materials, cutting-edge technology, and eye-catching designs. A front trunk (or “funk”) may appear to add more luggage room, but storage and cargo capacity are likely to remain constrained.
2024 BMW i8 M Pricing
It’s difficult to suggest a specific model without knowing the i8 M specifications or potential extras. Like the current model’s selection, we anticipate the i8 M to be available as a fixed-roof coupe and a ragtop roadster.
The plug-in hybrid powertrain for the BMW i8 M is projected to have a similar basic design to that of the standard i8, meaning that the front wheels will be driven by an electric motor and the rear wheels will be powered by a mid-mounted gasoline engine and an electric motor. BMW has stated that the new vehicle will offer a turbocharged four-cylinder in place of the i8’s 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged gas engine.
Additionally, BMW claims that the new vehicle will have a total system output of 591 horsepower, which is significantly higher than the i8’s 369 horsepower. The Acura NSX, Lexus LC500h, and Polestar 1 are a few competitors that the i8 M will be able to battle with thanks to its upgraded powerplant.
